Hello Spring Break =)

Ahhhh my break’s here! So exciting!

There’s heaps of things I’m doing this break actually…

Adelaide for 4 days and my folks are coming down under for 5 days. I’ve also dedicated 1 day to spring cleaning just before they come! Haha. Oh and of course, not forgetting my 1500 essay that I should start on during Spring Break.

Urbanlife last night was so good! I love my urbanlife and I love having urbanlife =)

I just love how God gives me prophetic dreams about the urbanlife, people around us and of course, ourselves. It’s so cool!

Okay, I really should get out of bed and shower and stuff.

I’m currently not very inspired to blog about anything else. Haha.

Toodles world!

So take it day by day

15 September, 2009 · Leave a Comment

After my class today, I decided to drop by Sportsgirl. I had no intention to buy anything.

But yes, you got it. I bought a new blouse. So yes.

And I’m currently lusting over this:

ASOS Kimono One Sleeve Tunic Top

It’s from http://www.asos.com

But I’m not gonna get it obviously. It’s £20.

I thought that was quite cute. It’s from A&F. I wonder why I’ve never popped by frat house when it’s just at QV! I mean there used to be like one only at DFO Spencer and I’ve got every excuse in the world to not go there. But certainly not QV!

Did I mention my Dad has awesome memory when it comes to my finances. Sigh. But it is kinda amusing. Haha.

Now you know what I do after I finish all my assignments and have handed them in. I look at online shops and blog about them. Haha. When I do assignments, I only look and sigh and close the page as fast as I can. Haha.

Oh did I mention it was so rude of Kayne West to grab the mic off Taylor Swift at the VMA?!?! Thank goodness Beyonce was so nice to her after that and let her have her moment.

But I thought it was rather funny that Taylor Swift’s second dress was like the exact same colour as Beyonce’s. It was like two bright people in cocktail dresses on stage.

Yes, this is a very random entry.

I’m rejoicing that my assignments, essays, midsems and whatnot are all OVERRRRR.

Oct 15- Generating Wealth of Nations research essay.

Then exams. That’s all I’ve got this sem. Yayness.

I hope my exams are spread out. But not too spread out. First 3 weeks sounds good to me!

Okay. I should sleep.

You’re all I want

13 September, 2009 · 1 Comment

I haven’t send in my tax return. Oh well, I’ll do it during my break on Tuesday.

I finally finished my 1000 words write up for Generating Wealth of Nations. Well, I actually started today too. Haha. I’m pretty fast. But well, it’s only 10%, and it really isn’t very hard. It’s like summarising readings. That’s all.

It was really warm today. Like 29degrees. Felt like Summer. I hope it’ll be Spring weather again tomorrow!! I’m feeling so hot under my covers right now. Maybe that’s why I can’t seem to get to bed. Should I sleep in my living room today? Well, the fan’s out there afterall.

So anyway right, when I finished my work just now, I stoned for a bit and went looking at online shops and online stuff…And I got so annoyed with tossing and turning, I decided to get up and read my September Issue of Vogue again. Omg. Do you know it’s like $12 a year + $4 shipping and handling per year to subscribe to Vogue in US. So cheap! Faints. So anyway, yeah I was just looking at the nice pretty photos of nice pretty clothes and shoes and whatever.

Ah. Fashion. I actually don’t know when I started to be more conscious of what I wear and stuff. I think when I started Trinity? Uni? Trinity was more of a looking year I guess.

I guess looking presentable, appropriate for the situation/event and well, nice (I really can’t think of a better word right now! So please pardon me!) is important. But being too cautious and being obsessed with what people think of you is a bit too much. To me, comfort is of utmost importance too! You have no idea how comfort affects your confidence at times!

Whatever it is, I can’t wait to go to Hong Kong during Christmas this year! So many good things to buy and so much good food to consume! Yay! And not forgetting my favourite guailingao store opposite Sogo at Causeway Bay. Yay!

Haha it is quite funny how we sometimes mention that after we work, we want to attain a few things from the world of impossibles as students right now. Strangely, I don’t really have one thing that I really really want. I guess I’ve got a rough list. But they aren’t things I really really want. I mean having them will be nice of course. Like that silky Hermes scarf, Cartier watch, Dior shades and the list is probably endless.

Oh, this doesn’t mean that I don’t want a pair of Choo/Blahnik/Louboutin for my wedding or well, anything really. Haha. My mom says that although a pair of Jimmy Choo is insanely high, it is amazingly comfortable as well. Well, it’s worth it when you do a cost-benefit analysis I guess. Haha.

I guess in this society that we live in today, we must be aware of our surroundings and we must not allow this culture of having everything consume us inside out. And no, I’m not just referring to brands.

Sometimes, the simplest things are seemingly the things that satisfy our needs the most.

God’s love is simple, yet complex.

It satisfies.

Just like water. It quenches our thirst and satisfy our need.

Coke, Coffee or a Hot Chocolate might tastes better and the “packaging” might look better, but how many of us know that we are often left thirsty after drinking those liquids.

It doesn’t satisfy us. It quenches our thirst temporarily and we just seek for more and more and more of it. But it is not the one. And are we left clueless sometimes? Although the glass of water is just right in front of us.

Doesn’t it make you wonder why we strive to aid 3rd world countries in providing them clean water and we don’t place our emphasis on giving good milk for babies there or something. Okay, bad analogy. But you get the gist.

Okay, I think I’ll sleep outside tonight.

With all my heart, I honestly think that filing tax returns and superannuation returns are really quite painful.

The system here is so complicated and there are like a zillion forms to fill in. Sigh.

And it doesn’t help that I’m quite clueless about what to do…
Faints.

But whatever it is, I’m almost done already. And I’m gonna mail it out tomorrow or some time this weekend.

I can’t wait to see the my bank balance increase in the next 14 days.

Yay.

I currently really really really want the USA September issue of Vogue.

I want to read that instead of my readings. Haha. How very terrible.

So I’ve got a presentation next week, an essay outline [means I need to do most of my research already!] and 2 mid sems exams. RARR.

But I’m so pump for camp that those 4 things don’t seem to matter all that much right now.

Okay, maybe I should do my chinese compre first. Hmm.

This entry seems pointless.

So toodles world!
