I haven’t send in my tax return. Oh well, I’ll do it during my break on Tuesday.
I finally finished my 1000 words write up for Generating Wealth of Nations. Well, I actually started today too. Haha. I’m pretty fast. But well, it’s only 10%, and it really isn’t very hard. It’s like summarising readings. That’s all.
It was really warm today. Like 29degrees. Felt like Summer. I hope it’ll be Spring weather again tomorrow!! I’m feeling so hot under my covers right now. Maybe that’s why I can’t seem to get to bed. Should I sleep in my living room today? Well, the fan’s out there afterall.
So anyway right, when I finished my work just now, I stoned for a bit and went looking at online shops and online stuff…And I got so annoyed with tossing and turning, I decided to get up and read my September Issue of Vogue again. Omg. Do you know it’s like $12 a year + $4 shipping and handling per year to subscribe to Vogue in US. So cheap! Faints. So anyway, yeah I was just looking at the nice pretty photos of nice pretty clothes and shoes and whatever.
Ah. Fashion. I actually don’t know when I started to be more conscious of what I wear and stuff. I think when I started Trinity? Uni? Trinity was more of a looking year I guess.
I guess looking presentable, appropriate for the situation/event and well, nice (I really can’t think of a better word right now! So please pardon me!) is important. But being too cautious and being obsessed with what people think of you is a bit too much. To me, comfort is of utmost importance too! You have no idea how comfort affects your confidence at times!
Whatever it is, I can’t wait to go to Hong Kong during Christmas this year! So many good things to buy and so much good food to consume! Yay! And not forgetting my favourite guailingao store opposite Sogo at Causeway Bay. Yay!
Haha it is quite funny how we sometimes mention that after we work, we want to attain a few things from the world of impossibles as students right now. Strangely, I don’t really have one thing that I really really want. I guess I’ve got a rough list. But they aren’t things I really really want. I mean having them will be nice of course. Like that silky Hermes scarf, Cartier watch, Dior shades and the list is probably endless.
Oh, this doesn’t mean that I don’t want a pair of Choo/Blahnik/Louboutin for my wedding or well, anything really. Haha. My mom says that although a pair of Jimmy Choo is insanely high, it is amazingly comfortable as well. Well, it’s worth it when you do a cost-benefit analysis I guess. Haha.
I guess in this society that we live in today, we must be aware of our surroundings and we must not allow this culture of having everything consume us inside out. And no, I’m not just referring to brands.
Sometimes, the simplest things are seemingly the things that satisfy our needs the most.
God’s love is simple, yet complex.
It satisfies.
Just like water. It quenches our thirst and satisfy our need.
Coke, Coffee or a Hot Chocolate might tastes better and the “packaging” might look better, but how many of us know that we are often left thirsty after drinking those liquids.
It doesn’t satisfy us. It quenches our thirst temporarily and we just seek for more and more and more of it. But it is not the one. And are we left clueless sometimes? Although the glass of water is just right in front of us.
Doesn’t it make you wonder why we strive to aid 3rd world countries in providing them clean water and we don’t place our emphasis on giving good milk for babies there or something. Okay, bad analogy. But you get the gist.
Okay, I think I’ll sleep outside tonight.
Toodles world!
xoxo
p.s. I’m going to Adelaide next weekend. I can’t wait!
