I did 5 weeks worth of BPA rubbish. Yayers. Today was pretty productive. So that’s good =)

I haven’t stepped out of my apartment at all today and I don’t think I would. Hmm.

So a friend asked why the song Hosanna by Hillsong had the chorus repeated heaps of time, but the bridge which is supposedly the most impactful part of the song was only sung once.

The chorus goes:

The bridge goes:

The thing is Hosanna means praise God, yeah?

Thing is our relationship is all about intimacy with God, it’s about praising God and thanking Him. If we can’t praise Him in bad situations, we can’t exactly set out to do what the bridge says- which basically means bringing people to Him, yeah? The line which makes everyone bawls their eyes out is like “Show me how to love like you have loved me, Break my heart for what beraks yours” 

You see ministry is about God first. People second. You third.

Oh I was bored while studying- what’s new right? ANDDDD I went to F21 and look at stuff again! Hahaha. I like these 3 things heaps!

I’ve got this really bad habit now. I need a skinny latte in the morning and I need a cup of hot tea at night. Sighhh!

Why oh why?

You know we always have this whole thing about living in self-denial or we just want to 自欺欺人.

Okay, totally random I know.

I’m just blogging to kill time. Cause my economics textbook has been staring at me and I’m being really ambitious tonight.

I WANT TO FINISH 3 WEEKS WORTH OF STUFF TONIGHT!!!! PFFT.

And the guys aren’t letting me watch shows =( Sigh. Yes yes, I know it’s for my own good!

OH MY! I got H1 for my BPA group assignment. I think my entirely group nearly fainted. HAHAHAHHA. Oh well, I know my paper will go well =)

It’s all about the grace of God.

So God has been putting those two lines in me for like the past few days cause of these dreams I had.

Yes, God speaks heaps to me through my dreams.

This city is dying. I see people being held in captive and like there’s no shout of victory, just people screaming in pain.

But my GOD is a good God. He is moving. He is so moving.

Christ is revealed”

“As surely as the sun will rise, You’ll come to us”

But I’m not screaming in pain, and I’m giving a shout of praise- because God is good ALL the time. Despite crappy situations, He is good.

And no, urbanlife wasn’t about saving souls, it was about the intimacy between God and us. Like oh my God, I just know that He is bringing us into a whole new level together. But before all, it’s all about being close to Him.

Fainteddd. I just wanted myself to feel better. Haha. What utter nonsense right!

I finished a week of econs and I’m on to my next week! Yayers! So right now, I’m taking a break and since I’m using the public computers, I didn’t want to look a bimbo/blonde by going online shopping or rather, online window shopping- whatever. Can you imagine if people walk past me and see me on victoriasecret.com or like forever21.com or like asos.com or like whatever!!

So I’ve resorted to blogging. Pfft. Should have brought my notebook out or something! Then I could have journaled, penned down stuff instead of blogging again. I feel like I look friendless or like all I can do is talk to a pathetic technological gadget. Pathetic much yeah.

I’m here with Sanne, Noelle, Zai and Diane. I don’t really know what they’re doing right now cause they’re at the place with nice tables and chairs and cushions. I’m at the computer lab that is 5m from that place.

This place is so cool. It’s like Melb Uni finally has a cool thing. Hahahhaha.

I feel quite bleah cause everyone else using the computers are typing essays/i-lecturing/reading notes and I’m blogging.

Mood: I woke up earlyyy!

Yes, yesterday was horrible. I honestly don’t know what was happening because I never had such pain before. So yes. Terrible experience and I hope it doesn’t ever happen again. I felt like I was in labour or something. Haha. Diane and Ming Xian decided I needed soothing music and I was listening to The Vitamin String Quartet- and yes, everyone should listen to them. I stole it from Jun Wei while doing our BPA assignment.

I feel incredibly useless cause I didn’t do work at all on Friday and yesterday. PFFT. Which is why I chose to wake up slightly earlier today- but guess what? I’m blogging now. Shucks, am I ever going to do work?!?!

I so need a greater sense of urgency. As in, it’s there, but not enough!!

I mean, my exam timetable is the worst of the lot- it’s so do or die. So yes!!

I can’t afford last minute swot-vac work! Swot-vac is like reserved for doing past year papers and stuff.

I’m behind time for 3+ accounting tuts, 3+ weeks of econs [which I flipping have to finish today], haven’t started on those 5 weeks of BPA [which hopefully I can do today too? I don't know...]. Need to do law tomorrow. And oo. I’m seeing my accounting tutor for consultation tomorrow! Flip. I think I do need to wake up early this entire week and next week. I realise I really don’t have much of a choice.

And after exams, I still need to go back to uni because I need to pay the commerce student centre a visit regarding subs for next year -.-” Seriously, the breadth thingy is such a poo poo sometimes. If it weren’t for that, I think I’d continue econs. Pfft. Makes everyone’s life easier isn’t it? Choose commerce or non-commerce subjects for those 6 extra subs. Pfft.

It’s starting to get really warm in Melbourne- and it’s so not cool!! Pfft. I miss autumnnnn. It’s seriously my favourite weather. I don’t really know how am I going to survive summer here.

I want to go Brizzy next winterrrr! Oh be surprised! I’m going back twice next year- both winter and summer. How shocking right! Haha.

My sister’s officially engaged, my brother’s officially attached [okay.. this one quite long already].

I tell you, my God is so so amazing! For some strange apparent reason, I decided to text my sister on Friday afternoon- something I never do [not the afternoon thing, but the text-ing] And so she told me that she was officially proposed to on Thursday night.

Oh mannn. I can’t even my dad marrying my sis off! I’ve this sinking feeling my brother will like get engaged even before I graduate or something! Ahhh. And then he’ll gone too!

Sighh. The sad sad thing about big age gaps between siblings. Oh in case you guys didn’t know, or you guys can’t remember, my sister and I are 13 years apart, my brother and I are 7 years apart. One from 70s, one from 80s, one from 90s. How cool is that? Hahahaha.

Okay, this is such a long entry and like I was supposed to have started studying 12 minutes ago. AHHHH. But now, I feel like cooking lunch. SERIOUSLY.

Oh the pain, won’t you go away?

Hello world. This is Diane blogging for Shiyou because she is in much pain thanks to the anatomy of a girl. Why, Eve, why did you take the apple of temptation? Pangpui.

Ming Xian says that in the army, they used to say that pain is weakness leaving your body. And Miss Jennifer Tham (the MGS/DHS choir conductor) used to tell her choristers that pain is good (because it supposedly makes us sing better. Which is totally rubbish).

Oh and Marian Keyes (some chick-lit) author used to say that pain is your friend and we should imagine it as a great big ball of energy. What utter rubbish.

PAIN IS BAD FOR YOU.

Why did God create pain?!

Since this is the first and last time Shiyou will let us blog on her account, let’s make this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity count.

Flare concert last night was pretty good. (: YOU GO SHER! Her piece was the best – the flowing red skirts and emotionally-charged dance moves were enough to move even the most unfeeling audience. The interpretive piece was quite good too; as were the contemporary pieces Apologise and Be Be Your Love.

(On a random note, according to Shiyou, Ming Xian’s mouth is moving according to the rhythm of the song. Weird much.)

Sometimes I admire dancers because they are able to translate their feelings via body movements, something that I will never be able to do. But I guess all of us have our God-given talents!

Vitamin String Quartet is awesome. Everyone should go listen to it.

Maybe Someday, Someway, Somehow in Some town

Mood: OMG. I SLEPT FOR SO LONG.

I feel so incredibly sick and gross cause I slept from 10pm last night till 12noon today. I woke up quite a few times. At 8am, I was quite determined to wake up. But uh, that didn’t turn out too well I guess.

And soooo.. I’m so behind time for my revision. Terrible stuff! I was supposed to have finished 3 accounting tuts yesterday but obviously that didn’t turn out too well! Bleah. And I was just reminded about my BPA revision- or more like start reading your notes and understanding them cause you don’t know a thing!! Bleah.

Reason why Shiyou needs to finish all 12 tuts by next Monday- because for once, she’s going to go see her tutor for consultation before her final exams! Pfft. Oh wait, I saw my QM tutor once last sem, but that was like quite rubbish cause I went with a ton of question on concepts from the notes which I didn’t understand.

Re-enrolment for 2009 has started and I’m still quite unsure about what subjects to take and I don’t know if I can push a year 3 finance subject down to year 2 sem 2 if I finish my year 2 sem 2 finance subject in summer. And this whole breadth subjects thing is annoying me. Pfft -.-”

Okay, I really should stop thinking what subjects to do next year until my exams are over cause re-enrolment’s until 21st Nov 08.
